Conor McGregor (or whomever is running his social media accounts) has plenty of time on his hands. Granted, he's back in SBG and he's training hard but that's second nature. There's always time to indulge in his other favourite pastime, being one hell of an irritating/entertaining wind up merchant.
In the early hours of the morning, McGregor decided to have a look back on some of his past encounters under the general theme of 'The Executioner'.
There was obviously a bit of time to include Jose Aldo in that but for one reason or another, it was Dustin Poirier who was given the vast majority of the executioners attention. That win back in September 2014 resulted in the now customary first round knock out and the Dubliner was furthered catapulted along his path to the featherweight title.
It's good to see that he's not forgetting where he's come from.

Poirier recovered from that defeat, moved up to lightweight and he's currently on a three fight win streak culminating in that victory over Joseph Duffy at UFC 195 last weekend. Perhaps this is the beginning of an unlikely rematch against Poirier or perhaps McGregor just felt like taking a look back at his past success but one way or another, he's managed to get under the Louisiana man's skin.
Poirier was quick on the uptake replying to McGregor's 'That's light work' with a picture of his own captioned with 'This line of work is not for everyone - Tap Tap Taparoo'.
Sorry Dustin, as much as you may seem like a decent chap, you're not winning this one. For all we know, McGregor may well still be seething about being tapped out by Duffy six years ago but we very much doubt it considering he's done rather well for himself in the intervening period.
