We're not business managers or anything like that but we would suggest that Conor McGregor should have a long, hard think about whether appearing alongside Vin Diesel in the next xXx movie is a great idea.
McGregor has picked the perfect fights for his career so far (or had them picked for him) and it might be clever to employ the same selection process when/if he crosses over into the lucrative world of Hollywood. Mark Wahlberg has been speaking about working alongside the UFC featherweight champ this week and now Vin Diesel has posted the following message on his Instagram account.
The new xXx movie. You may remember the original from 2002, it was awful stuff but it was entertaining and it really raked it in at the box office. What you may forget is that there was a sequel off the back of that success. Vin Diesel wasn't there but Ice Cube was and it was truly awful, horrendous. But now they're making another go of it and Vin Diesel is back.
And according to his 'the casting of the new XXX gets more exciting everyday' message Conor McGregor is joining him in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. We'll gladly say we're wrong if and when the time comes but we're imagining it will be awful shite.
Having said all that, it will probably make him a shedload of money and appearing alongside Diesel can only make McGregor's acting ability look relatively polished for his feature film debut. Either that or the action star is just using McGregor like a pawn to get loads of free advertising for his crap movie from eejits like us. We're hoping it's the second one.
