Even the most biased Conor McGregor sycophant could not have dreamt up how events played out at the MGM Grand.
Sure, some would have forseen a first round KO - apparently McGregor is allowing anyone with a betting slip saying so into his after party for free - but a 13 second stoppage was unrealistically fanciful.
McGregor's second punch of the fight, a left hook, delivered with - as the man himself put it, 'precision and timing' - was the decisive blow. It sent the Brazilian to the canvas. Two hammer fists later and John McCarthy intervened.
It was a moment which sent shockwaves through social media.
He turned a skeptic into a believer last night... @TheNotoriousMMA is the real deal. Talk is cheap but that left hand will make him ??????
