This morning, Jose Aldo's coach has given us a concrete update on those worrying reports that the biggest UFC bout of the year is in serious doubt. Aldo injured his ribs during a sparring session and a final call will be made on Thursday morning whether Aldo can take his place in the Octagon on July 11th or not.
Since reports first emerged yesterday evening, we've been waiting to hear Conor McGregor's thoughts on these developments. Would he claim Aldo was up to something dodgy? Would he go full McGregor on the issue?
Not really, instead he's projecting nothing less than absolute focus.
Just know that it is business as usual up here at the top. See you all on July 11th. pic.twitter.com/WXGPRFWj0y

That message would suggest that one way or another, McGregor will be in Vegas on July 11th. It seems increasingly doubtful that Aldo will be his opponent but Frankie Edgar has already been lined up to take the featherweight champion's place if the rib injury is confirmed as a fracture.
