Ahead of his Saturday night title fight with Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden, BT Sport interviewed Conor McGregor on Tuesday.
As it was election night in the US, BT's Caroline Pearce asked McGregor if he had any thoughts about now President-elect Donald Trump.
I just could not give a bollocks.
With all due respect, the whole thing is just weird to me. Whoever wins, I don't think anything is going to change. The public are just brainwashed that something is going with this one. I don't think either of those two contenders or whatever they are have any power in anything, anyway!
Whatever. It is what it is.
McGregor is anticipated to make what Dana White called a 'left-field announcement' following UFC 205. In last night's discussion he was a little bit coy when speaking about it.
I'm here. There's one thing here, one thing here and one thing there. I'm not even sure where I'm going to go yet. There's some big things coming. We're still navigating through that.
I can do whatever I want. We'll see' We'll see what happens.
McGregor fighting at Croke Park is an event often rumoured. It is likely a night which will never materialise due to red-tape surrounding holding an event at GAA headquarters and the reality of the it needing to be held in the early hours of the morning to accommodate American viewers.
When asked if it was a possibility, McGregor skirted around it question, saying that he has never had a meeting with the UFC's new owners to discuss money-making opportunities.
I don't even know who runs this damn company no more. I don't know any of them, I've never met them a business partner. I don't really know what's going on. I'm just figuring out my own thing right now. I'll go in, capture all these belts, capture all the money, wrap up the game and then they've got to meet the business man. Then, we'll go from there.
