Conor McGregor has been praised after it was revealed online the UFC personality made a significant donation to the GoFundMe page raising crucial funds for a young Irish child.
Grainne McCullough created the GoFundMe for her son, Bryan, who got Sepsis last year and is now unable to walk or eat. It was set up with a €10,000 goal, which was instantly hit when an anonymous source donated that figure in its entirety.
Then, GoFundMe contacted Grainne to inform her the sum had been donated by McGregor, currently deep in preparation for his blockbuster UFC 229 bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Bryan Buckley's plight had been highlighted in recent weeks on social media and in various media outlets. The five-year-old, who also suffers from cerebral palsy, has to be fed through a nasal tube. His family were told they could have surgery next week for €10,000, a figure they now have thanks to McGregor's donation.
The page is still active, and donations can be made here.
