On Monday, Conor McGregor was sworn in to give his account of the incident that greatly angered the Nevada Athletic Commission in run up to UFC 202.
When McGregor and Diaz threw water bottles and cans of Monster energy across the room after tempers flared at the pre-fight presser, it quickly emerged that both men would face repercussions, but nobody expected the fines to be as heavy as they were.
Despite a recommendation of a fine in the $20,000 region and 25 hours of community service, Conor McGregor was handed a $150,000 fine and 50 hours of community service, which was about as severe a punishment as could have been handed out.
And it seemed like Conor was fine with it, judging by his reaction on social media:
I get fined more than these bums get paid

But it turns out that the Dublin is not happy at all.
According to Dana White, Conor McGregor has informed the UFC president that he never wants to fight in Nevada again. The decision would be a middle finger to the commission, as it is no secret that when McGregor is in town, business is booming.

For Conor McGregor, New York and Boston would not only be well capable of hosting his fights, but it would also be easier for his Irish fans to make the trip, however, it is hard to imagine McGregor staying away from the fight capital of the world for the remainder of his career.
But that is what he has told Dana White, so if we are to take his word then we won't see any more of the Irish invasion on Vegas that has given us such great memories and moments such as UFC 189 vs Chad Mendes, UFC 194 vs Jose Aldo, and both fights vs Nate Diaz.
It would, however, be more comfortable for those that struggle to stay up until 5am for a Las Vegas main event, but only time will tell whether this truly is the end for McGregor in Vegas.
