Irish UFC star Conor McGregor has fired back at Khabib Nurmagmoedov and Paulie Malignaggi in a forthright Instagram post.
McGregor's last victory was in November 2016. Since then, he has lost to Floyd Mayweather in a boxing bout and Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. The 30-year-old has been quiet since then but on Friday he hit out at both Nurmagomedov and Malignaggi, who he sparred with as preparation for that Mayweather fight, for their recent "bitching."
it comes after rumours circulated that McGregor was in negotiations to return to boxing against Malignaggi, although they have since been dismissed.
Interestingly, McGregor also referenced Khabib "bitching in the fourth round from mount position." He evidently heard his Russian opponents jeers during the fight. Nurmagomedov famously told McGregor "let's talk now" while raining fists down on top of him.
He even tried to call over to UFC president Dana White, but was interrupted before he could finish what he wanted to say.
One can expect he will respond in due course to the latest barb as well.
