The rumour late last week was that official announcement of Conor McGregor vs Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 197 would come during Fox's coverage of Green Bay and Washington's NFL wildcard game on Sunday night.
Official announcement was not forthcoming from Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on commentary regarding the lightweight title fight.
Brazilian site Combate reported today that reason for the delay announcement is that McGregor is holding out on signing a deal, possibly looking for an increase in his remuneration for the fight.
With liberal use of emojis, Rafael dos Anjos' manager tweeted today appearing to label McGregor a chicken.
????????????????????????????????????????????? guess who #Runningawaychampion

According to Steven Marrocco of MMA Junkie, McGregor's manager Audie Attar has denied the reports.

In fact, Bleacher Report's lead MMA writer Jeremy Botter - who was first to report that the fight would take place at UFC 197 - claims the Brazilian is the one holding out on the deal.
It's certainly funny that the story of McGregor holding things up got out there today. It's not McGregor holding things up.
