Belfast newspaper The Sunday Life, a sister publication to the Belfast Telegraph, is reporting that Conor McGregor will star in an upcoming season of Game Of Thrones.
What the paper calls a 'well-placed source' told them that the UFC lightweight champion will appear on the show.
Conor McGregor Game Of Thrones appearance
It's been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game of Thrones.
He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.
What role McGreogr would have on the show is not known.
Game Of Thrones is partially filmed in Northern Ireland. Given that the story comes from a Northern Irish publication, it certainly adds credibility.
There are two seasons of Game Of Thrones remaining. Both will be more truncated seasons than previously broadcast. Season seven of the show will premiere this summer.
In September, when announcing that McGregor would fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title, Dana White said that the fight had been sanctioned due to what he called a 'left-field announcement' which the Dubliner would make following UFC 205. McGregor did make an announcement after the event - he will become a father for the first time next year.

'Rich 28-year-old man to become father' did not fulfil the criteria for a left-field announcement. McGregor appearing on Game Of Thrones certainly would, though.
He might finally get to ride into that favela on horseback or at least the Westeros equivalent of a favela.
