During the week, Conor McGregor conducted his first interview since being pulled from UFC 200.
Today, ESPN - in segments - are broadcasting that interview.
McGregor called what happened between him and the UFC as a public 'civil war'.
I just wanted to do reasonable media. Then all of a sudden it's 'Hey Conor, we've got to drag you on 40 hours flights to run around New York, Vegas, California, 70 press conferences, 70 talk shows - all of this. I only made you 400 million last week. That was only last week that fight. I need to get right. That's how it all came about.
At that particular moment, I just needed a little bit more time. I didn't shut it off completely. Reasonable media is what I said. I said I would do New York. I said I would everything else after that.
Then the lack of communication. They were trying to push back on me. I was trying to push back on them. It blew up then.
When asked about his future with the UFC, McGregor was evasive, saying instead that he was committed to 'the fight game'.
