Conor McGregor Responds Following Oireachtas Discussion On Petition To Put Him On €1 Coin

Despite a long career in Irish politics, which began in the late 70s and saw him elected to the Dail seven times, it seems all Emmet Stagg will be known for by this generation is being told to 'fuck off' by fellow TD Paul Gogarty in the Dail back in 2009.

Stagg wasn't even present at today's Joint Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions for discussion regarding a petition to put Conor McGregor on the €1 coin.

Still, McGregor referenced the Labour TD in a tweet following the discussion.

The petition was deemed inadmissable by the committee as they were unable to contact petitioner Patrick O'Leary.

Richard Boyd Barrett thought the petition had a 'jokey element'.
