The UFC have announced that Conor McGregor will coach eight European fighters against Urijah Faber's squad from the Americas in the new season of The Ultimate Fighter.
The 22nd season debuts on 9 September and if McGregor and Faber's dust-up at the UFC189 weigh-in last week is anything to go by then The Ultimate Fighter promises to be highly entertaining.
Of course, Irish fighters have a long history with the show, with the likes of Cathal Pendred, Aisling Daly and Joseph 'The last man to beat Conor McGregor' Duffy having featured as contestants in the past.
The first episode of this season will be two-hour special, with 11, one hour, follow-up episodes schedules. The Ultimate Fighter is actually the highest rated original series on Fox Sports since the network launched in 2013.
