Upon entering the country from now on, former boxers and stars of other combat sports should have to fill out a questionnaire regarding their thoughts on Conor McGregor.
It would certainly save Ryan Tubridy from having to asked the question. As an aside, listen carefully, did he refer to McGregor as Colm, Colin, or Conor?
Presumably the person who asked Chris Eubank who would win in a fight between him and McGregor meant the Eubank of two decades ago, rather than the 49-year-old appearing on the Late Late Show last night.
Eubank, always the showman, knew the crowd and conceded that, of course, the Irish UFC would win.
I was asked today, 'In a fight [between Eubank and McGregor], who would win?'
Well, he would beat me, of course. That's Conor McGregor.
It's ridiculous, the man's an animal. I mean, I'm a gentleman.
Asked to clarify his categorisation of McGregor as an 'animal' Eubank cited the Dubliner's win against Jose Aldo as evidence. Though he did, wrongly, call Aldo the 'number two contender' when at the time of the fight he was the featherweight champion.
He just took out, the number two contender in the world, he took him out in 13 seconds. I wouldn't want to mess around with that.
You can watch Eubank on the Late Late Show below.
