Cathal Pendred lost the first fight of his UFC career to John Howard by split decision at UFC 189.
That one of the judges scored the fight in favour of the Irishman was something which both commentator Joe Rogan and UFC president Dana White could not understand.

After the decision was announced, Rogan said:
I can't imagine a judge who would call that fight for Pendred. I really cannot imagine.
Two did get it right, but man, I don't even think that they got the score right.
