Cathal 'The Punisher' Pendred claimed his 4th consecutive victory in an undefeated start to his UFC career just last weekend, and the SBG brawler wants another go in the octagon on just eight days notice.
Rick 'The Horror' Story may have one of the best nicknames in the UFC, but he may not have an opponent for his scheduled fight on June 27, as Brazilian Erick Silva may not be allowed to participate due to visa issues.
Queue Cathal Pendred swooping in to save the day. Pendred publicly stated his willingness to fight on eight days notice, as he has continued training after his victory over Augusto Montano and has a clean bill of health, and he even tagged Dana White in the tweet to put pressure on the UFC president to let him have a crack at claiming an impressive UFC record.
Have a U.S passport no visa required. Haven't stop training after 6 week camp in Mexico. Will fight @Rick_Story on 8 days notice. @danawhite

We are now awaiting the verdict on the Brazilian visa issue, as it has not yet been confirmed that Erick Silva is set to miss out, but if that is indeed the case then Cathal Pendred could finally have an exciting opponent to face, and a chance to avenge his teammate Gunnar Nelson's loss to Story.
