Brian Ortega defeated Frankie Edgar in the co-main event at UFC 222 on Saturday night. Ortega became the first ever fighter to stop Edgar.

The 27-year-old's featherweight victory game via a first round KO. It was a vicious uppercut which had Edgar on the deck with just over 15 seconds left in the opening round.

Ortega had laid the foundations for that KO a little earlier in the round when he landed a brutal elbow on the 36-year-old Edgar.

Last night was Ortega's sixth straight win in the UFC since his debut in the promotion ended in a no contest against Mike De La Torre back in 2014.
