With just 3:30 elapsed, the British fighter rocked the American with a right-hand to the body and then a left which sent the champion backwards and to the canvas.
Moments later the fight was over when referee John McCarthy stepped in to call a halt.

Bisping, who took the fight on just two weeks' notice following an injury to Rockhold's original opponent Chris Weidman, becomes the first ever British fighter to hold a UFC title.
