UFC 194 is going to end the calendar year on the mother of all highs. Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo, Chris Weidman vs Luke Rockhold and now the heavily anticipated bout between Jacare Souza and Yoel Romero.
The middleweight contenders have been on two cards already this year but both times they were unable to meet due to illness/injury. Now they have been officially added to the 194 card in a match-up that will effectively determine which of them will get a title shot at whomever is holding the middleweight title at the end of the night on December 12th.
Middleweight champion Weidman will put his title on the line against Rockhold on the night and, with Jacare and Romero both undefeated in the UFC, it will set up an intriguing title fight in the near future. And for McGregor fans, it just adds a little bit of extra excitement for what what is sure to be one of the biggest nights in UFC history.
The top two featherweights and now the top four middleweights all on the same card is surely going to be something special.
