Conor McGregor has confirmed that he will likely return to featherweight to defend his world title following his welterweight defeat to Nate Diaz. There are two likely opponents: Frankie Edgar or an intriguing rematch with Jose Aldo.
Aldo seems confident of a rematch, calling out the Irishman with a tweet that arrived so soon after the fight, it had to have been pre-prepared:
See ya at #UFC200, @TheNotoriousMMA. Your fairy tale is over. You got nowhere to run now. Time to a rematch, pussy. pic.twitter.com/67fmic8qxG

Aldo's coach is similarly confident of such a rematch:
McGregor admonished fighters from other weight divisions revelling in another man's victory, and then targeted Aldo when elaborating on his future featherweight opponent with his usual 'Aldo refusing to show up for work' schtick:
Conor: "I'm not sure. It's hard not to give Aldo another title fight, but he pulls out a lot."

McGregor: “(Aldo) had an opportunity to show up here but he didn’t. He said anytime anyplace but he wasn’t. Now he celebrates.”

Conor McGregor: “That’s the sign of a loser, of a runner-up.”
