MMA minds may be on Las Vegas and July 11th this morning, but there's also some big news closer to home. It has been confirmed that UFC will be returning to Dublin on October 24.
A third show in Ireland has been earmarked for quite some time and the news comes as no surprise after the UFC's general manager in Europe, Dave Allen, recently confirmed that it was a matter of when, and not if, it was happening. Now we know that date.
Tickets go on sale on September 4th and although it seems unlikely Conor McGregor will be involved this time around, there's sure to be another big push for tickets. While another McGregor fight seems unlikely at this stage, Irish fans will no doubt be keen to see the likes of Joseph Duffy, Cathal Pendred and Paddy Holahan who are almost certain to be part of the card.
