Honeysuckle just cannot be stopped!
Entering this afternoon's Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, the Henry de Bromhead trained mare was a big favourite to keep her winning run going. After all, the eight-year old had won all 14 of its previous appearances over hurdles.
Jockeyed once against by Rachael Blackmore, they would not be stopped from achieving another Cheltenham success.

The horse looked comfortable right from the off, lining up on the outside of the field and cantering along at a nice pace. This continued for the majority of the race.
With a couple of fences to go, Blackmore really began to push the pace. There would be no stopping Honeysuckle from this point on, driving home for a comfortable victory ahead of Epatante in second place.

What a performance.
Speaking after the race, Rachael Blackmore summed up just how special of a horse Honeysuckle is.
"It's just incredible! This is such a special place! I'm so lucky! She's just incredible!"

It's just incredible. Walking out there in front of the stand with all the people, this is just such a special place.
I'm so lucky to be riding winners here on this mare, it's so class to have Kenny (Alexander, the owner) here as well because he missed her last year. It's just incredible...
She kind of decides in a race when she is happy to go. I haven't stopped her from doing that yet!
She is just an incredible mare. The work that goes into her at home as well is unbelievable, Henry (de Bromhead) has a massive team of staff down there in Knockeen. They deserve all the credit for this as well.
Two stars.
