The nominees for the 2017 RTÉ Sports Person of the Year have been announced, and you can have a decisive say in who the award goes to.
While last year's winner Conor McGregor does not feature in this year's list of nominees, the shortlist is made up of sporting figures from across a number of disciplines.
On what is always a fascinating evening full of great sporting coverage, a long list of sportspeople will be keen to join the likes of former winners in Tony McCoy, Padraig Harrington and Sonia O'Sullivan.
Set to be announced during an awards ceremony on RTÉ One at 9.15pm on Saturday 16th of December, the nominees are as follows.
The 2017 Nominees:
Rena Buckley (Camogie)
Ryan Burnett (Boxing)
Joe Canning (Hurling)
Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal (Para Cycling)
Noelle Healy (Ladies Football)
James McClean (Soccer)
Michael McKillop (Para Athletics)
Andy Moran (Gaelic Football)
Conor Murray (Rugby)
Paul O'Donovan (Rowing)
Robbie Power (Horse-Racing)
Jason Smyth (Para Athletics)
Katie Taylor (Boxing)
Joe Ward (Boxing)
Katie Taylor is the only previous winner of the award on this list, having claimed the crown in 2012 after her Olympic games heroics in London.
With many potential winners among the 14 selected, RTÉ are looking for your say in where the award goes in 2017.
You can vote online at rte.ie/sport, or alternatively you can text.
To choose your winner by text, simply send the letter assigned to each sportsperson to 53125 - the numbers (A-N) are assigned by where each sportsperson falls in the list. So, for Rena Buckley, you would text A to 53125, for Ryan Burnett, it is B, and so on.
Voting closes on Wednesday 13th of December at 5.00pm.
Details regarding the other night's awards and how you can have your say in deciding them will be released closer to the ceremony itself.
