How much can one person actually achieve before leaving secondary school?
Laura Stack, a Limerick camogie player, was one of 13 students who achieved a maximum 800 points in their Leaving Certificate yesterday.
A fine academic performance undoubtedly, the reality of Stack's sporting commitments reveal the ludicrous extent of what the Dromcollogher native has actually done.
As well as playing camogie at both minor and senior level for Limerick, Stack has already appeared in two All-Ireland club finals also - in both camoige and football!
With Milford, Stack won the 2016 All-Ireland Club Camogie Championship in Croke Park, and appeared in an All-Ireland football final with her local club, Dromcollogher-Broadford.
On top of all this, Stack's principal Brendan Burke told the Limerick Leader how she also,
has senior camogie and football medals with the school, and she won the Munster camogie final this year with the school. Hurling, football and handball are her sports. She's a real all-rounder.
Well, clearly!
Stack concedes that she 'kept the sport up until the beginning of May', before putting the head down into study, but, at a time when many high-profile GAA players find it difficult to juggle sport and their personal and professional lives, Stack's blend of the two is truly remarkable.
Keep it up Laura, she'll be Taoiseach and a 10-time All-Star and probably an Olympic gold medalist by her 30th birthday.
