French sports giants Decathlon opened their brand new Limerick store doors to the public this past week. The brand new mega store in Limerick is the second Decathlon store to open on Irish soil after their Ballymun store which opened back in 2020.
The new store offers over 70 sports to pick and chose from, in the new enormous 5000 square metre building. Decathlon's new Limerick store is located on the east side of Limerick city, in the Parkway Retail Park.
The store is open seven days a week from 9:30am to 7pm. Along with offering over 1,500 square metres of the store to their wide range of sports items available for purchase. Decathlon has also built a cafe and several sports facilities for its customers. to make use of and enjoy.
Sports Facility Zones
Decathlon is a family-owned company, founded in 1976, and inspired by the 'belief that the best sports products should be accessible to everyone' have created a variety of facilities for their customers to enjoy.
In their Limerick-based store, Decathlon has built a number of sports facilities that customers can come and make use of. The facilities available on site are a football pitch, a basketball court, a cycling track, a gym, and an outdoor area for fitness as well.
