Colm Bonnar has stepped down as manager of the Carlow hurlers.
Carlow played their final game of the 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup on Saturday, a 1-21 to 2-13 defeat to Westmeath which saw them finish fourth in the competition table.
Tipperary man Bonnar was appointed in 2016. He led the county to the Christy Ring Cup title in 2017 and the inaugural Joe McDonagh Cup in 2018. Along the way, they won the National League Division 2A title and played in the Leinster Championship.
"Carlow GAA wishes to express its immense gratitude and appreciation to Colm for the role he has played in our Hurling development over the past 4 years," Carlow GAA said in a statement.
"A thoroughly professional attitude and a real grá for his ‘adopted’ County were some hallmarks of his time.
"We are sorry to see him go but so thankful for the time he spent with us.
A céad míle, míle fáilte will always await Colm Bonnar when he sets foot in Carlow, we wish him and his family every health & happiness for the future."
Bonnar told RTÉ following Saturday's defeat that he felt the time is right for change.
"I think the boys, to be fair to them, they probably need a fresh face and a fresh voice in the dressing room," he said.
"It's probably time to wish them the best and I have no doubt that they have the capability of starting again, winning Division Two and competing again in the Joe McDonagh."
