Willie Mullins' son Patrick was victorious in the Guinness Faugheen Novice Chase in Limerick this afternoon, riding favourite Gaelic Warrior.
However, there was controversy involving himself and his cousin Danny Mullins, who came second on Il Etait Temps after nearly colliding with Patrick when trying to pass him on his inside on the penultimate jump.
The pair exchanged words after the race, with Patrick going on to explain the situation like this to Racing TV:
I told Danny going out that there will be a gap on my inside going down to the second-last and ‘do not come for it’ but he hasn’t listened to me. Luckily it didn’t get the two of us beaten.

Father and uncle Willie Mullins was at Leopardstown and had an amusing reaction to the incident after the race.
"My son and nephew were trying to kill one other coming round to the second last fence.
"I don't know what Patrick said to Danny but I imagine they wouldn't be coming home in the same car!
"I suppose Danny was riding his horse and he had to try and go for Grade 1 glory but anyhow it will make for fun this evening when we're disseminating the whole thing."
