Ruby Walsh has recited from horse-racing, and it really does feel like the end of an era. The word 'legend' gets bandied about far too often in the world of sport, but Ruby is one athlete who certainly deserves that title.
He went out in the best possible way too, winning the Punchestown Gold Cup on Thursday afternoon. It was a sudden and unexpected announcement, meaning there was no fanfare or long-winded goodbyes. In many ways, it suited the man perfectly.
In catching us off guard with his sudden retirement, it did much of the racing world the opportunity to pay tribute to Walsh. Thankfully, RTÉ had him on hand to do just that today.
They put together a fantastic tribute video featuring some of the biggest names in racing, mixing it in with some of the best highlights from Ruby's career. Sit back and enjoy this one.

Cracking stuff. The world of racing won't ever be the same now that Ruby has decided to retire, and you can tell he will be missed by his colleagues.
The real question is, who are we going to lump on during Cheltenham now?
