Bloody hell, what a finish! Burning Victory has won the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham, but this was one that was Goshen's to lose.
Goshen, the Gary L Moore trained horse, entered the day's opening race as a favourite. It was easy to see why, as it ran comfortably over the first part of the race. When we came down the home straight, he put on the afterburners.
He absolutely destroyed the field, opening up a huge lead heading over the final hurdle. Then, disaster. Goshen clipped the fence, landing awkwardly and unseating jockey Jamie Moore.
😲😲😲
Can you believe it?

Jamie Moore certainly took it hard.

Willie Mullins was the one to benefit, with Burning Victory overtaking Allmankind to claim the win.
This certainly has shades of Annie Power about it, with the race favourite blowing a big lead late on. The punters at Cheltenham will certainly be gutted, but the bookies will likely be pleased with how the race played out.
