The Galway Race festival is well underway as thousands of patrons continue to descend on Ballybrit for the week-long card. Amongst the crowd today was none other than former Arsenal defender Martin Keown.
Keown is well-connected when it comes to Galway. His Grandfather's home was just across the road from the venue while he still has family in the city. Speaking to RTE Sport, he hailed the festive element of the week.
Later, when asked about Arsenal's pre-season, Keown was optimistic for the year ahead.
The team is really well prepared and clicking. I feel there could be an upset first game of the season against Man City. They have a few of their guys still on holiday and Arsenal are really preparing well. Top four would still be amazing for them.
