Former Grand National jockey Sean Quinlan had to be subdued with a pool cue when his friends instigated a fight in a Staffordshire pub.
The 61-year-old owner interrupted with the cue when Quinlan and his friends came to blows with two other customers at the drinking hole.
From the CCTV footage you can see the fight escalate quickly after an unknown lands a powerful haymaker on an unsuspecting customer, but not before taking a good chug from his pint glass. Then the bodies piled in as bar stools were thrown and more strikes were landed.
To try to put a halt to the situation, landlord Barry Birch picked up a pool cue and beat the living daylights out of the brawlers until they fled the building. All three men pleaded guilty to the charges but were handed lenient sentences ranging from three to eight months suspended.
