The Dublin Racing Festival is on the horizon. The festival has grown to be one of the biggest weekends in the national hunt season with attendance numbers hitting record highs during the 2024 event.
Powerhouse trainer Willie Mullins looks set to reign victorious once again this time around. After winning the majority of the races in the 2023 competition and winning every Grade One race last year, the odds are agaom stacked in favour of Mullins pulling off another spectacular showing.
Punters are taking a particularly strong focus on a highly anticipated Sunday treble featuring Lossiemouth, Gaelic Warrior & Ballyburn.
With the Ladbrokes Novice Chase and the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase both taking place this weekend, the bookies currently have Ballyburn priced at 8/11 to win the former, while Gaelic Warrior remains the clear 4/5 favourite in the latter.
And with Lossiemouth (8/13) also in action later on Sunday afternoon, punters are keen on the three odds-on shots all landing, with odds currently around 4/1 for the treble on Ladbrokes.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:
Some huge names will be on display at Leopardstown this weekend, and all eyes are on more Willie Mullins domination, with punters seemingly convinced Ballyburn, Gaelic Warrior and Lossiemouth will all live up to their odds-on tags on Sunday.
After falling short to the majestic Constitution Hill at Kempton on St Stephens's Day, Lossiemouth will surely be ready to run a huge race in the battle with State Man on Sunday.
