It's coming up to a week since the Mouse Morris-trained Rule the World laid down the law in Aintree and propelled the Galway man into the coveted pantheon of extremely likeable Irish sports figures, where he sits alongside the likes of Shane Lowry.
Appearing with his son Jamie on the Late Late Show, Morris reflected on what had been a tumultuous 12 months. Last summer, his older son 'Tiffer' passed away due to carbon monoxide poisoning while travelling in Argentina.
Morris explained how difficult it was to lose a child in such circumstances, and revealed in greater detail how he turned to Tiffer for some assistance in a year which saw his horses capture three Nationals.
You can watch the interview in its entirety below, and it's well worth it. Also keep an eye out for Jamie Morris' superbly blunt thoughts on becoming a jockey towards the end which left Ryan Tubridy speechless.
