Jockey Michael Sweeney pulled off a sensational recovery abroad Ask Heather at an Irish Point to Point meeting today.
The Killeagh Point To Point in Cork witnessed the remarkable feat during the Mares Win of 2 sponsored by Flavins Footwear. The Declan Queally trained horse looked destined for second after clipping the last and almost unseating the young Irish jockey.
However, Sweeney managed to hold tight and recover. Not only did he remount the horse, but Sweeney steered home to complete an outstanding physical feat.
