We all enjoyed Hugh Cahill's discomfort at losing a bet, and praised the RTE presenter for following through on his promise to dress like Eddie Izzard - but Izzard himself wasn't overly impressed, initially.
Cahill went on RTE during their broadcast of the Leopardstown races yesterday to explain his attire, and said that he "lost only (his) money, but his dignity as well".
Now it's clear that Cahill didn't mean any offence by it, but at first Izzard took umbrage with the RTE man's choice of words.
@RTEsport @hughcahill7 I'd just be careful of your use of the phrase "loosing your dignity" dressed transgendered. I think we have dignity

In stepped RTE's John Kenny to defend his colleague. Upon being assured of disrespect not being intended, Izzard agreed that Cahill's words had sounded in 'good spirit'.
@JohnKennyMedia @hughcahill7 Very good. It sounded in good spirit. I'm afraid I jump on language. Dignity for everyone, I say

Cahill himself also agreed that it had been a poor choice of words.
@eddieizzard @JohnKennyMedia absolutely no offence meant Eddie. Apologies if it sounded coarse. Poor language choice
