Tuesday was a day for the bookies at Cheltenham. If it wasn't for Altior winning the Arkle, there's a good chance no punters would have turned up for Day 2 at all. As it, there's plenty of good chances to make up for it today, especially with Douvan looking like a sure thing in the Champion Chase.
Yesterday wasn't a great day for the tipsters either, but there were some gems thrown in among all of the losers. We've compiled the list of the best performing tipsters from all of the Irish papers, and will be keeping track of their progress as the week goes on. As almost every tipster had Altior (a 1/4 shot!) yesterday, the win percentages are somewhat skewed and it was an even worse day than it looks.
Top of the Table:
Congratulations to Tommy Lyons of the Irish Examiner, Newsboy of The Mirror and "The Wizard" from The Sun who all had three winners yesterday. Some others had two, while most tipsters only winner was Altior.
The tipster in the worst form so far is Peter Scudamore in the Mail who only managed to tip Altior and didn't even manage a place in any of the other six races.
Today's Picks:
Lot's of time to turn it around with three quarters of the Festival still to run. Today, everyone has gone for Douvan in the Champion Chase, bar one, who is recommending taking the each way route in the race.
