It has been confirmed that day two of the Cheltenham festival will go ahead following an early inspection at the racecourse. There had been fears for today's action due to high winds being forecast.
However, the go-ahead for today's racing was given at 6:10 am.
"We're delighted that the weather conditions have changed from the initial forecasts and the prospect of higher wind speeds and gusts have receded," said course clerk Simon Claisse.
"We're looking forward to a fantastic day's racing on the Old Course with the feature race the £400,000 Grade 1 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase."
The first of today's seven races goes off at 1:30 pm.
