Well, that was one tough opener. Cheltenham's opening day brought joy and despair in equal measure as the Irish got off to a cracking start before Apple's Jade failed to finish and well-fancied Benie Des Dieux fell at the last fence.
Thankfully, Ruby Walsh was able to pick himself up and dust himself off and fans must do similar. The big race of the day comes at 3.30 with the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase where Altior is the stand-out candidate. The first race takes place at 1.30.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that day two of the Cheltenham Festival will go ahead following an early inspection at the racecourse. There had been fears for today's action due to high winds being forecast.
However, the go-ahead for today's racing was given at 6:10 am.
"We're delighted that the weather conditions have changed from the initial forecasts and the prospect of higher wind speeds and gusts have receded," said course clerk Simon Claisse.
"We're looking forward to a fantastic day's racing on the Old Course with the feature race the £400,000 Grade 1 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase."
