14:25 - Coral Leopardstown Hurdle
The colours of JP McManus dominate the 2m Coral Hurdle, the big race at Leopardstown on Sunday.
After Rain, one of McManus' runners, is the current 5/1 favourite with Ladbrokes. He is also the mount of Barry Geraghty. After Rain has two wins from six outings so far this season, the last of those coming at Wexford in October. His handicap debut came in his previous race at Fairyhouse, finishing third to Blue Hell in late November.
Willie Mullins also has a strong turnout for the race with Buiseness Sivola, Ivan Grozny, Bamako Moriviere and Kalkir running.
Buiseness Sivola is the choice of Ruby Walsh. Walsh's mount is coming off a seven month layoff after finishing fifth in a Grade One hurdle at Auteuil in June.
One of Mullins' other runners, Kalkir, is our choice. Kalkir - who pulled up during the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham last year and has not raced since - makes his handicap hurdle debut in the race.
Tip: Kalkir e/w - 12/1
15:00 - Coral Leopardstown Handicap Chase
The 2m 5f Coral Leopardstown Handicap Chase is the other big race at Leopardstown.
Fine Rightly, trained by Antrim-based Stuart Crawford, is outright favourite with Ladbrokes for the €60,000 on offer to the winner. The eight-year-old, ridden by Andrew Lynch, is just off the back of victory in Navan in mid-December.
Bryan Cooper will be aboard current second favourite Killer Crow for Gordon Elliott. Like the favourite, Killer Crow also claimed victory at Navan in mid-December. In fact, on the same day as Fine Rightly. Following that came a decent second at Limerick over Christmas.
Blood Cotil, trained by Willie Mullins, is the choice of Ruby Walsh. As in the big race, Walsh's mount also recently had a lengthy layoff, eight months this time.
Our pick of the field though is the Barry Geraghty ridden Heathfield. The Tony Martin trained nine-year-old finished ninth in the Paddy Power Steeplechase at Leopardstown last time out, though certainly made an impression.
Tip: Heathfield - 8/1
