Philip Walton has voiced his outrage for being the butt of the Taoiseach's jokes at the Ardilaun late Monday. We hope Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh will comment on the situation this evening on the Late, Late. But strangely silent on all of this so far is Bernard Gallacher, the last member of the Cowen Imitation 3.
You can hear the Scot himself speaking around the .53 second mark on this skit from the Chris Evans show.

]It's your run of the mill Scottish accent. We can't be at all sure why it sticks out in the Taoiseach's mind. But while most people are preoccupied with trying to figure if Cowen will survive Garglegate, no one is talking about its repercussions upon Europe's Ryder Cup preparations.
Cowen has mocked two Ryder Cup greats, one Irish, one Scottish. Team captain Colin Montgomerie would be letting down the Scottish nation if he did not defend the honour of his countryman in the media during the pre-tournament media events. How will the likes of Paul McGinley and Padraig Harrington respond to criticism of Cowen? Will this dissension undermine Europe's efforts going into the tournament?
Nice one, Biffo. You might cost us the Ryder Cup.
