There have been a few golfing fights in recent weeks. Miguel Angel Jimenez and Keegan Bradley got into an on-course spat at the WGC - Cadillac Match Play in May, but now the award for the most head-scratching fight ever has been made up especially for this 'disagreement'.
It involves Will Wilcox, a second year PGA tour professional, Brendan Steele and Drake.
Yes, the rapper Drake.
As most sportspeople do, Wilcox was listening to some music to get him 'in the zone' on whilst practicing for this week's Greenbrier Classic on the PGA Tour, when Brendan Steele took exception. It appears that Wilcox received an indirect warning from tournament officials after Steele complained. The pair took their spat onto twitter so everyone could see what was going on:
It's unclear whether Wilcox was listening to his music through earphones that were too loud, or whether he just blasted it on speakers. As a very white man with no rhythm myself, I can see why Steele would object to that. To be fair to Steele, most of the spat is coming from Wilcox.
For his part, the 29-year-old Wilcox from Alabama does seem to really like Drake's music. Although I can't fully confirm this given that I have no idea what this tweet actually means:
