You would never see Tom Watson doing this. Traditionally golf is a very formal game played by serious and stuffy individuals. Shane Lowry is not that.
One of the reasons that Irish fans love Lowry so much is that he has an everyman quality that is very endearing. He likes sports and having a good time just like the rest of us.
When he hits a bad shot, he can't hide his emotions either. Playing in the final round of the Honda Classic this afternoon, Lowry hit a wayward tee shot and immediately unleashed a few curse words that were VERY audible on American TV.
The reaction of the commentator is so 'American golf broadcaster'.
"Ach.. ye fookin' idiot. FOOK!" No need to apologize, NBC, what Shane Lowry said was just fine pic.twitter.com/KaQjl9oCIC

The video is brilliant but what is up with Deadspin's decription? Americans have never been able to replicate Irish accents and Deadspin's attempt to translate Lowry has him sounding like someone from North Kilt Town. Get your shit together, Deadspin.
