Sergio Garcia was in foul humour during round three of the Dell Technologies Championship at TPC Boston yesterday.
Having misjudged a fairly audacious eagle attempt at the fourth, the 2017 Masters winner proceeded to slam the head of his putter into a sprinkler head at his feet.

With his solitary putter now unusable - and with fourteen holes remaining - Garcia was left with no option but to putt with a series of irons and woods.
He did manage to make this work initially at least.

The effects of this outburst would take their toll on Garcia's scorecard however, finishing with a 75 and falling to tied 53rd on the leaderboard.
Known for his Tin Cup moments of madness, Garcia's bizarre conclusion to the third round reminded us of a finer moment from Kevin Costner's 1996 golf-infused film.
