An extremely rare occurrence took place early in the final round at Augusta on Sunday evening.
Russell Henley was even par after he bogeyed the 4th hole, and knew he needed something special to get him back in contention for The Masters, but even he couldn't have expected what happened on the next fairway.
Henley scored an eagle on the par four 5th hole with a miraculous shot from 170 yards, but it was so accurate that it flew straight in and ruined the hole on impact. You could see the disbelief on his face as he tried to process what just happened.

A team of August officials were called on to inspect and recut the hole, and after 10 minutes of a delay play was able to resume.
Masters actually having to recut a hole after damaged by a Russell Henley shot. I've never seen this. #Masters pic.twitter.com/ynGaatz35e

That is absolutely crazy. We can't think of a time when we've ever seen that before. It's actually like something out of Happy Gilmore.
The Eagle helped Henley move to -2 and jump seven places up the leaderboard, and he will be hoping to carry that luck into the remainder of the round.
