Rory McIlroy has thrown his full weight behind Northern Ireland before their group C opener against Poland in Nice tomorrow.
The Holywood man is an avid Northern Ireland supporter and has issued a stirring rallying cry to his fellow countrymen via the BBC.
The video itself is a real tear-jerker with a Snow Patrol backing track behind McIlroy's message where he exhorts Michael O'Neill's side to emulate other Northern Ireland sporting heroes like Barry McGuigan, Mary Peters, AP McCoy, Georgie Best and Carl Frampton.
Down through the years, many have claimed their place in Northern Ireland's sporting Hall of Fame.
These sporting heroes helped unite Northern Ireland... and now it's your turn,
says the No3 ranked-golfer in the world.
You've already given us memorable moments, magical Windsor Park nights and unforgettable goals. We've even re-written the history books. But that's just the beginning. Now it's your chance to shine on the biggest stage of all.
Coming home to NI as a major champion was one of the proudest moments of my career so far.. It's an honour for us to have the opportunity to represent Northern Ireland around the world and to put our wee country on the sporting map.
Tomorrow you will write the next chapter in our long and famous sporting story. When you walk out at that stadium in Nice, take a minute to think about our sorting icons, what they achieved and how this is your chance to take your side alongside them.
Feel the pride of what it means to represent your country with the world watching. Know that you will have support like never before. We are proud of you.
So do what you always do... Dare to dream.
