Phil Mickelson's third round at Augusta National could not have got off to a worse start, a triple bogey on the first, was followed by a bogey on the second.
He did manage to steady the ship, parring the next five holes, but the American was dead last in the standings (+10), after his horror show start.
However, anyone who watches golf every week will know that the maverick Mickelson, only know's how to play one way - attack.
After smashing a gorgeous drive down the rain soaked par 5, eighth fairway, Lefty elected to hit his driver off the deck with his second shot in an effort to hit a low trajectory bullet that would climb onto the green in two.
Mickelson executed it to perfection, leaving himself a 10 footer for eagle.

Mickelson went onto drain his eagle to claw back two of the four shots he dropped at the first and second holes.
Lefty came into Augusta with a shade of momentum after winning his first tournament in nearly five years when defeating Justin Thomas in a playoff to claim World Golfing Championship in Mexico, in March, but a 79 in round 2 all but killed his chances of claiming a fourth green jacket this weekend.
The eagle on 8 however will be one for the bulging highlight reel of Mickelson's maverick shots.
