Padraig Harrington sits two shots off the lead after carding an opening round 67 at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open on Thursday.
While Rory McIlroy will have a battle on his hands to avoid a third missed cut in four events after his 74 left him two over and nine shots off the leader, but Harrington enjoyed a lot more fortune, particularly on the 16th.
After a wayward drive saw him forced to take a penalty drop, Harrington was looking at a costly seven until he strolled up and sank a putt from 90 feet to save par. You could tell from his reaction that it was a nice surprise.

Beautiful.
He would go on to chip in for birdie on the 17th leaving him at -5 for the day and right in contention after round one.
Go get 'em Padraig!
