Shane Lowry has been given a nice little cherry on the cake that was 2015 after being awarded the European Tour Shot of the Year title. It will come as no surprise that the shot in question was the incredible recovery shot that saw him claim his first title on US soil at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
This was the second incredible recovery shot of Lowry's final round back in August. It was a scrambling round to say the least but Lowry's battling ability was a joy to behold and he took the crown at Firestone to shoot him up the world rankings. And an awful lot of it came down to this 'miracle wedge' on the 18th.

Lowry's shot received 24% of the votes to come out on top, ahead of the likes of Patrick Reed, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Rory McIlroy. Here's the top 10, with Lowry justifiably coming out at number one, although we would say that.
