Shane Lowry was clearly inspired by Peter La Fleur's tactics famously used by Average Joe's to defeat Globo-Gym in their sudden death match in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story". Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell all allegedly had visions of Patches O'Houlihan before donning the blindfolds as they chipped into the 17th in Carton House from close to the green. None of them managed to hole one despite coming close on a few occasions.
