The Rapid challenge was where many of Ireland's finest sportspeople announced themselves on the world stage.
Back in 1998/99, a nine year old Rory McIlroy faced Ireland's Ryder Cup hero and the inspiration behind Brian Cowen's party piece, Philip Walton.
The Second Captains' magnificent use of the RTE archives was in evidence again last Wednesday as they brought this clip to the masses.
At the end of the slot, McIlroy and Walton lined up roughly similar putts. Walton left his disappointingly short. McIlroy stepped up and slotted it in the hole. At the time, it looked like a victory for the little guy.
But now, with McIlroy the owner of four Major titles, it just looks like another victory for Goliath.
Meanwhile, we're awaiting a heartbreaking documentary examining the kids of the Rapid challenge who didn't make it big.
